Pat with Alejo in cordoba

:: Cordoba 24th November 2007 ::

Pat receiving a award for her life-time dedication to breeding cats
from AAFe /TICA.

PATRIARCA CATS was established by Patricia Brownsell some 40 years ago, firstly with a UK base and now thriving in sunny Spain. Pat imported the first Ragdolls to England with LuLu Rowley in 1981 and was the first person to export Ragdolls to other European countries. Prior to this, the only Ragdolls were in the United States where the breed originated. She was the first person to have Ragdolls in Spain and the standard of points in Europe have been based on her Patriarca Ragfearless Fred.

PATRIARCA CATS is small cattery and located today in the beautiful countryside of Alhaurin de la Torre in the south of Spain.Click here to see WHERE WE ARE.

I left England to go and live in Spain in 1987, which was a difficult decision, meaning the re-homing of my cats with the option of having kittens back as and when I decided to go back into breeding. On finding a suitable house, and acquiring pet quality cats / kittens from the various places my cats had been homed, I have rebuilt my breeding pairs to its present high quality,----as my cats are bred for health, temperament, and type in a beautiful environment where they are happy and well cared for.
Recently, Patriarca Cats has exported Ragdolls to such places as Turkey, Denmark, Finland, France and Germany as well as to the United States and Canada. Pat is concentrating on the new colours primacy lilac ,chocolate also Lynx, Creams, Reds and Torties. The excellent lines coming through Patricia’s breeding programme are very exciting for the future and those that have been taken to shows have all achieved Excelente 1. The traditional colours are, of course, within Patricias breeding programme and she is having wonderful results from these in the meantime.
